Getting started with monument cleaning
Below is a recommended set of supplies to begin your journey cleaning headstones. The only thing not listed here is D/2 Biological solution, which is sold by several online retailers. D/2 is pricey, but has been the industry standard for over 20 years. Atlas Preservation has the only other product I would trust to replace D/2. This product is called Endurance Grave Cleaner. It is a quaternary ammonium compound and so very similar chemically to D/2. Please do not use other products besides these for cleaning graves. Many products advertise themselves for grave cleaning use, and few make the cut of chemicals that actually do no harm.
